Be Vigilant

 When weather conditions permit, regardless of


whether an operation is conducted under IFR or VFR,
vigilance shall be maintained by each person
operating an aircraft so as to see-and-avoid other
aircraft
Right of way Definition
 Right of way means the right to proceed without
alteration of course . The A/C which have the right of
way is required to maintain its heading and speed
while observing the other aircraft when the collition
risk exist.
When Approaching Headon
 When two aircraft are approaching headon and a risk
of collision exist , then both the aircraft should alter
the course to the RIGHT
When Overtaking
 The aircraft which is being overtaken have the right of
way and the aircraft which is overtaking the other
aircraft should alter its course to the right and pass
well clear.
When on converging course
 When two aircraft are in a converging course, then the
aircraft to the Right have the right of way and the other
aircraft should alter the course and pass behind the
aircraft which have the right of way.
Landing Aircraft
 The aircraft on final approach and on lower altitude
have the right of way and all other aircraft in flight and
in ground should give way.
Distress
 The aircraft on distress have the right of way among all
other aircraft.
 AIRCRAFT ON RUNWAY :
The aircraft on runway have the right of way than
aircraft on taxiway
General Rule of collision Avoidance
1) The power driven aircraft should give way to
AIRSHIP,GLIDER,BALOON
2) Airship must give way to GLIDER and BALOON
3) Glider must give way to BALOONS
