Nicholas Ruiz

Manager Dolphin Watch

Bayside Inn Golf and Beach Resort

Florida

Dear Mr. Nicholas,

I am pleased to be a part of the Dolphin Watch and thoroughly enjoy working in this resort. The
dedication that my fellow servers and I portray always have been superbly top-notch which ends up
leaving the customer satisfied and leads them to turn out as our retained customers.

As we pursue with improving our services and satisfying the customers in distinctive ways.
Simultaneously, we as service providers are not satisfied when the customers take our efforts for
granted and leave no tip for us. This is definitely not the first time, we are often stiffed by a patron. Even
though they believe giving a tip is option. However, our perception as service providers completely
differs as we know that tips are the 80 percent of our income. Even if we wish to, we cannot reduce our
services. Moving ahead, we also don’t prefer to ask for tips from our customers we wish to get it instead
as a gesture of appreciation. In a new study of New York Times we get to know that some famous
restaurants in New York automatically add a 15 percent tip to the bill. Which leaves the customer with
no choice but to pay the tip instead.

I am writing this letter on behalf of my fellow servers, we have high expectations that you can assist us
in this matter. Tips are not only income for us but it also motivates us to put in more effort, to work
more hours and sometimes over our working hours as well. The servers at Dolphin watch will be more
than pleased if you take out concern into consideration and make tipping mandatory.

Sincerely,

Ali on behalf of Dolphin Watch
