SUBJECT: 8851 (REA MAE C.

YDULZORA)

SLOTH

Sloths are frequently one of the first animals that come to mind when people think
of the word "lazy," so it's no surprise that I most closely identify with them. They snooze up
to twenty hours a day and are notoriously slow-moving. Sleeping would be my preferred
activity as I am typically sleepy throughout the day. Sloths spend approximately 15 hours
daily hanging upside down from trees, a lifestyle made possible by their large, curled claws.
Like the sloth, I do not enjoy doing strenuous tasks and spend most of my time dozing. Once
per week, sloths descend to the rainforest floor to urinate and defecate. In a sense, we are
similar, as I sometimes refrain from standing-related tasks. This activity exposed my eyes to
my negative habits, which I must change immediately.

ACTIVITY 2

Direction: Identify three (3) role models you look up to in your life. The role models must be
a family member, a friend, and a public figure (it can be a celebrity, a political person, an
artist or a group, and etc.). For each of the role models, identify the positive and negative
characteristics and traits you may benefit and learn from. Expound how you could benefit
from each identified positive and negative characteristics and traits, and how can you learn
from their short-comings and setbacks

ROLE MODEL #1:

FAMILY: Marisa Ydulzora (My mother)

a. Beneficial Characteristics and Traits

My mother is a loving, dedicated wife and mother to our family, reflected in my

relationships with my classmates. I always place others before myself and ensure
their well-being before mine. I am the type of friend who is the first to respond
to the needs of my friends and family. Observing my mother's strength and
independence during tough times instills a sense of responsibility and duty in me.

b. Short-comings and Setbacks

My mother's short temper may be one of her weaknesses, as it prevents her
from thinking clearly and causes her to lash out at me periodically, but I am
aware that it is merely a moment of weakness. I also inherited this type of
conduct and am constantly aware of my errors.

ROLE MODEL #2:

FRIEND: Frances Angel Tamba
a. Beneficial Characteristics and Traits
My friend is incredibly dedicated to attaining her goals and never gives up. She is
focused on her studies and does not allow distractions to deter her. Because she
encourages me to continue my studies, I prefer to study with her whenever
possible.
b. Short-comings and Setbacks
Angel's disadvantage is that she is too kind and cannot say no, which is the
opposite of mine. We are the ideal pair since I always remind her that it is
acceptable to say no and put oneself first.

ROLE MODEL #3:

PUBLIC FIGURE: Lisa (Blackpink)
a. Beneficial Characteristics and Traits
Lisa is happy and upbeat, and she never allows negative thoughts to ruin her day.
I want to be like her in terms of being optimistic and putting up my best effort in
everything, as it would help me deal with challenging social situations.
b. Short-comings and Setbacks

She is extremely timid while expressing her views to others, resulting in stifling
situations. Therefore, I always express my views on matters that influence my
life.
