ANSWER: In selling products and service in tourism industry is important. Behind tourism
marketing is to promote the business. They need to stand out from their rivals, attract the
customers in new adventure. Many tourism company used internet to promote their products.
Like in adds, websites, email and social media platform. Because nowadays they need the
loyalty of costumers. They need to keep and improve more and build new activity and safety
awareness. The safety is the one that costumers wants.

2. How the unique characteristics of tourism are evident in identified tourism products and
services?

ANSWER: Perishability is one of the most important characteristics of the tourism industry.
The products/services in the tourism and travel industry are consumed as they preserve.
Tourism Products satisfy the needs of tourists, are bought by them from tourism business.
Tourist product may be specific, individual units such as a room in a hotel or an airline seat
sold by enterprises, or ‘total’ products which are bundles. of tangible and intangible elements
based on an activity at a destination.

3. About the influence of a visitor’s experience on his/her succeeding holiday decision-


making processes.

ANSWER: The consumer decision making process is the process by which consumers
become aware of and identify their needs; collect information on how to best solve these
needs; evaluate alternative available options, make a purchasing decision, and evaluate their
purchase. Consumers don’t just decide to buy. Their buying behavior is determined by many
different factors. The focus of this book is on holiday planning and decision making, which is
the cornerstone of tourist behavior and tourism marketing.

4.Interview a frequent traveler and write an essay about his/her behavior.

ANSWER: The traveler that I interview is an elder traveler. She said she need to educate
more nowadays when she travel because of the pandemic. She need to be more careful
because most of her age is a target of disease. And sometimes her asthma attack.
Immunizations are important at all ages. They need to ensure the safety of their health.

5. Essay explaining the concepts of segmentation, targeting, and positioning.

ANSWER: Nowadays, Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning is the most used strategic
way in Marketing. It is the prime of the available methods that are applied to create marketing
models in practice. This model is beneficial when making marketing communication plans
because it aids marketers to prioritize ideas and thereby create and advertise unique and
appropriate slogans to communicate with various segments this is a segment based strategy
rather than a product based strategy. Market segmentation strategies are utilized to identify
these groups of consumers and strategies are designed and implemented to make the
product or service appeal to them. In targeting once a business has successfully completed
segmentation based on the market into various groups the targets will be chosen.
