Notice for BE/BTech Counselling

for admission to First Year (Second Semester) session 2022-23


The candidates who are eligible as per the eligibility criteria and have qualified the TIET entrance
test (list will be available on the website) may attend the In-person counselling for admission to First
Year (Second Semester) session 2022-23 as per the following schedule.

Date: 27th January, 2023


Time: 09:30 AM
Commencement of Classes: Classes have already started w.e.f. 23rd January, 2023.

Mode of Counselling
This round of counselling will be held in both the modes i.e. online (through zoom platform) as well
as offline (in-person visit in the campus).

Offline: Institute Auditorium, TIET campus, Patiala.

Hostel Allocation
New candidates interested in taking hostel accommodation will be allocated hostel during the
Counselling on the basis of the merit. Hostel Rent and Mess Fee is to be paid only after the
hostel allocation is done. Candidates may occupy his/her room on the same day of the
Counselling.
Following type of hostel accommodation is available (on merit) for UG first year students

In addition to the Hostel Rental & other charges (mentioned above), the candidates are also
required to deposit Rs. 19,500/- as Mess Food advance, as per details given below:

2. Amenities Fund (Non-Refundable) : Rs. 500/-

Important Note
1. Candidates offered admission in this round of counselling will be required to deposit the fee
immediately (once the admission is offered. If a candidate is offered admission and he/she
does not deposit the prescribed fees by the prescribed date/time, the offer made shall be
treated as cancelled. No correspondence or appeal in this regard will be entertained.
2. Candidates shall be able to check the allotted branch by visiting
https://webkiosk.thapar.edu/Admission with Login ID as the registered email ID and
password as the numeric part of the TIET application number. Click on “View Branch
Allocation Status” after login to the dashboard.
3. After making the payment, candidates are required to send the fee payment proof on
admissions@thapar.edu.

2. After making the payment, candidates are required to send the fee payment proof on

Candidates must bring the following original certificates and a set of self-attested photocopies of
all the certificates with them.
