ACOUSTIC BAFFLE CEILING
INTRODUCTION
➢ WHAT IS ACOUSTIC BAFFLE
CEILING?
Baffle Ceilings offer a spatial
pattern with a linear
open ceiling. From a practical
point of view, they are simple
to install and offer easy access
to the ceiling plenum for
maintenance and the
installation of additional
services such as lighting, PA
system, sprinklers etc.

Services friendly – its easy to install all the services inside the
acoustic baffle ceiling.

Dry construction – The acoustic baffle ceiling does not require


water either for the installation or curing. Also, baffle ceiling is
humidity resistant.

Fire rating – Acoustic Baffle ceiling is also available with fire


rating.

Light weight – It is light in weight.

Thermal insulation – Acoustic Baffles are good in thermal


resistance.

Acoustical insulation – Acoustical Baffles are known for high


sound absorption properties.

ACOUSTIC BAFFLE CEILING MATERIALS
Fixing Plate
It is screwed to the true slab to support
adjustable hanger.
Hanger Clip
It is used to fix the height of the adjustable
hanger.

Adjustable Hanger
A adjustable hanger is used to adjust the
ceiling levels.

Main Runner
Main runners are hanged to the adjustable
hanger using the hooks.

Cross Tee
Cross tee introduced between the main
runners to maintain the distance between the
main runners.

Baffle Clip
Baffle clips slide into the main runner to hang
the solo baffle.

Solo Baffle/Hook
Solo Baffles introduces into the baffle clips
using hook at the top surface of solo baffle.

Guiding Pin
Guiding pins are used to join two solo baffle &
to maintain the alignment of the baffles.
WORK METHODOLOGY AND SEQUENCE

Baffle is an acoustic solutions, primarily when it is not


possible to install wall-to-wall ceilings.. It offers several
different installation possibilities using Baffle profile,
Adjustable wire hanger or grid system. The edges are
straight cut and painted. Baffle systems are available in
different sizes and in a wide range of colors.

• BEFORE INSTALLATION

A Good practices Process

All material delivered to site should be checked for

damage, unopened and original packages

2 All materials to be kept dry and protected.

It is important at this stage to determine the direction the


3 Baffle being installed. The drawing supplied by the
designer will show the Baffle direction required.

Mark the dimension lines for

Screw the fixing plate to the

or gas gun.

Hang the adjustable hanger

Introduce the main runner

Fix the cross tee in between


the main runner at a

maintain the alignment.

Slide the baffle clip into the

Insert the Solo baffle into

the top of the baffle.

Use guiding pin to join two


8 baffles and to main the
alignment between them.
