Objectives

1. To explore the lived experiences of persons who are physically disabled (orthopedic deficiency)
who are either looking for employment or have been working already in the city.
2. To identify the mobility and accessibility of persons with disability in establishments both public
and private buildings.
3. To propose a policy recommendation creating a council to monitor the implementation of RA
7277 (Magna Carta for Disabled Persons) and BP 322 of 1982 (Accessibility Law)

Lived experience refers to a representation of the experiences and choices of a given person, and the
knowledge that they gain from these experiences and choices

B. Helmet Compliance: Condition of Student Drivers in the City of Cauayan

Objectives

1. To describe their awareness and corresponding sources of information on Republic Act 10054 or
the "Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009"
2. To determine their compliance to RA 10054
3. To determine the relationship of the socio-economic factors to their compliance to RA 10054

C. Assessment of Pedestrian Facilities in the City of Cauayan

Objectives

1. To identify the travelling behavior of pedestrians in the community.

2. To determine the preferences on pedestrian facilities of respondents in areas like the public
transport terminals, educational areas and residential areas.
3. To rate the current pedestrian facilities according to factors such as safety, comfort and
aesthetics.

Objectives

1. To identify whether educational institutions are providing opportunities and creating an

inclusive environment for PWDs
2. To determine whether there is an adequate comprehensive PWD focused program
3. To know whether PWD needs are included in infrastructure development in the past five years
 E. Evaluation of the RA 9994 on mandated privileges for the Elderly in the City of Cauayan

Objectives

1. To evaluate the implementation of the Expanded Senior Citizen Act of 2010 (RA 9994) on
privileges of senior citizen
2. To determine the extent of compliance of establishments, assessed policy dissemination,
benefits and discrepancies on the mandates of RA 9994
3. To identify the extent of covered members under the RA 9994 in the City of Cauayan
