During the last school holiday, my family and I went to Pulau Tioman in Pahang. We went

Dear Mia,

I cannot send you to school for your netball practice this evening because I have to fetch
Aunt May at the Subang Airport. She has a medical follow-up appointment at the
Gleneagles Hospital in Ampang and requested my help to accompany her since she is
not feeling well.

I have asked Puan Hasma, our neighbour to drive you to school. Remember to
wash the dishes, fold the clothes and feed Snowy with canned tuna before you leave the
house. Don’t forget to lock the doors too.

Dad will fetch you after your netball practice. Please remind him to drop by the
Baba Nyonya Restaurant to buy meals for dinner. I won’t be able to cook dinner as I
may get home late due to the heavy traffic in Ampang. Please ask Dad to buy a carton
of eggs, some cereals, a loaf of bread and a few cartons of milk on your way back home.
We can meet up for dinner with Aunt May tonight.

Section C:

Question 1:

Idlan is an athletic boy who loves sports. Last month, he was chosen to represent his school
in a running competition. Idlan felt as proud as a peacock and determined to win.

To ensure he was in a good shape for the competition, Idlan started a

healthy diet to make his body fit. Idlan made sure that he ate healthy food and followed his
training schedule religiously. He trained running every day at school with his teammates.
They trained together and motivated each other. As the competition date became closer,
they trained even harder.

Idlan and his teammates fought tools and nail to win the competition to
make their school proud. Finally, they won the competition victoriously and they felt as
happy as a lark because their hard work finally paid off.

Question 2:

There once was a man named Pak Karim. He lived poorly and grew vegetables for living. He

lived with his wife in a dilapidated hut. They have no children.

One day, Pak Karim was digging the soil to plant his vegetables. Out of a sudden, his

hoe hit something hard underneath the soil. He kept digging and was astonished to discover a

treasure chest. Without wasting time, he opened it and saw a lot of gold coins in it. He hastily

closed the chest and as fast as lightning, he brought it home to show to his wife.

Pak Karim hit a jackpot and became a rich man overnight. He bought a bungalow in

live happily with his beloved wife.
