Human resource management is the procedure of recruiting, inducting and selecting

employees for different departments in an organization. It also involves developing assessment

score cards and employee appraisal reports while developing effective remuneration and

compensation packages in organizations. The human resource departments value employees as

important assets in the organizations hence the increase production and sales optimizations. Due

to many challenges, the human resource departments have come up with definite management

strategies in overcoming the increasing employee challenges in organizations. Through strategic

objectives and goals, companies have developed human resource models enabling employees to

fully concentrate on performance while utilizing the minimum resources in the company.

Therefore this research proposal analyses the human resource challenges in Disneyland Resort

while developing possible initiatives for effective employees’ performance.

The Disneyland Resort being a large firm with over 25,000 cast members has a

deficiency in employee due to services being offered by the firm. The firm intends to hire 900

more employees to reduce workload in various departments. However, the firm is facing human

resource challenges in coordination and engagements hence demotivating workers. Furthermore,

the firms talent management and motivation paradigm is not streamlined with current human

resource practices hence the inconsistency in the customer service. Lack of effective employee

team building strategies limits the employee’s outputs in the firm.

The inconsistency in management and coordination leads to low out puts of production or

performance thus affecting the service delivery to clients who are major stakeholders in the firm.

Furthermore, low production outputs leads to the inconsistency in procurement and logistics

strategies thus affecting suppliers of goods and services. The inconsistency of human resource

practices affects company sales and revenues thus compromising shareholders’ interests and

values in the society.

The Disney land Resort needs to develop confident and effective brand in the hospitality

industry for sustainable growth and for high optimizations inputs and out puts in the firm. The

firm should take significant steps in dealing with employees’ retention and motivational

procedures. The human resource department should roll out human resource development

programs through increasing remuneration and allowances packages in motivating employees.

Increased engagement and coordination priorities increases high self-esteem among employees

hence the improved achievements of company’s goals and objectives.
