Project Summary

Background
The expectations and needs of the sectors associated with the aircraft maintenance field and our school are the
same. In this context, providing the necessary infrastructure organization in the field of aircraft maintenance and
creating educational institutions and infrastructures, realizing quality business internships, which is the most
important element for our students who receive vocational education, and on a sectoral basis; We created our
project in order to raise individuals who love the profession of aircraft maintenance technicians working in the field
of aircraft maintenance, have professional competence, speak English, are responsible, know aviation laws and
improve themselves by following professional developments.

Objectives
While continuing the education and training activities at our school, we aimed not to fall behind the constantly
developing technology and to provide higher quality and qualified education to our students we trained in the field
of aviation. The training implemented in the field of aviation in the 2015-2019 Strategic Plan; We have carried out
many activities and projects so far in line with their decisions in areas such as administrative, personnel
competency, teaching methods, increasing the quality of education.
With the Erasmus+ projects implemented in our school and local activities, the quality of education in our school
has increased. We have determined from our students who participated in our previous projects that the students
who graduated from our school with the projects are extremely important in raising the professional staff
demanded by the public and private sectors.By implementing our project, we aimed to ensure the employment of
our students, which is our main goal, by ensuring their professional development.

Implementation
Within the scope of our project, we have carried out activities with our domestic and foreign partners. The
activities we carried out in the country were the “Preparation Activities” that we carried out to prepare our students
in the best way in terms of professional and foreign language before their business internships with our project
partners.

Within the scope of preparatory activities;


-Technical trips were organized to Turkish Aeronautical Association.
-Professional English course was given.
- Occupational health and safety training was organized.
- A seminar was held on Erasmus+ Projects.
- Cultural Preparation and Awareness training was given.

Our activities abroad are as follows:


Our Grade 11 students did a 50-hour business internship in the field of "Aircraft Supply and Services" with our
project partners.
Our 12th grade students, on the other hand, did a 50-hour business internship in the field of "Computer
Technology Applicable in Aircraft Systems" with our project partners.

We have completed the business internships for professional practice, which will help our students' professional
development, which is the reason we created our project, in a very productive way.
We have ensured the professional development of our students in accordance with the needs and demands of
the sector.
Our students communicated with their master instructors in a foreign language during their internship process.
Although they did not have any problems in understanding the roles and tasks given, they had certain difficulties
in speaking fluently in the first week of their internship. Therefore, our project; made them realize how important it
is to speak fluently in a foreign language for our students.
