Tata Motors Limited, a $37 Billion organization, is a leading global automobile

Despite several new Indian companies entering various parts of the EV value chain,
Tata seems to have entered with a bang! It unleashed the future of mass public
transportation by launching the Starbus Electric and the Starbus Hybrid buses. In
addition to this, to meet the current and future passenger transportation needs in
smart cities, they have rolled out a range of smart buses, developed and powered
by alternate fuels. The country’s first “Fuel Cell Bus” is also under development
from the house of Tata Motors Limited. 
Tata Motors, which sold 9,300 electric units in the April to June quarter, plans to
launch 10 new electric cars in the next five years. Tata Motors commanded over
85% of India’s electric car sales in FY22. 
Earlier in April, Tata Motors unveiled its most advanced electric vehicle concept
yet, the Avinya. The company said the Avinya has been built to global benchmarks
and would be launched in 2025.
