Now Let me introduce myself. My name is .............................................. I come from SMPN 1 Kelumpang
Hilir.

Well, my beloved audiences, the title of my speech today is “ How do smartphones help us in online learning?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

On line learning is one of the impacts of corona virus which resulted in more than 64,700 deaths and spread
globally including in Indonesia so that the government temporarily closed educational institutions to minimize
the spread and required all students in Indonesia to stay at home and study from home by using the smartphone.

And now if you ask How do smartphones help us in online learning? The answer is the Smartphone gives us
many things in online learning.

Well, Ladies and gentlemen.

The followings are some arguments to support the answer above;

First. By using smartphone, students can be easier operating the online applications that is used by the teachers
in online learning. Such as Zoom, Google Meet, Edmodo, Google Classroom. They are very helpful for online
learning because teachers and students can discuss, give and collect assignments like in the classroom. The
smartphone provides not only online applications
in online learning but also the other social medias like Whatsapp, Instagram, Youtube. They deepen
understanding and collect assignments, it makes students more challenged to do their best, because by
submitting assignments on Instagram or YouTube their work will be watched by many people, and of course
this will further explore the abilities and skills of students

Second. By using smartphone and E-learning, the online learning becomes fun because completed by pictures
and videos about the very interesting subject matter and can be repeated until everyone understands so that
students can learn even though outside the classroom

Third.
With E-books on our smartphones, we can more easily read many books. There is a Term
“The world in our hands”
“Do you agree with this term?”
“of course, this term is very appropriate for smartphones and e-books”
Because students can read books easily using smartphones. Reading books will be easier anywhere and anytime
without having to carry thick and heavy books. and it also very helps us in online learning

Well Ladies and gentelment

Actually, smartphones are very useful and help online learning, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic
But, behind the positive impact, there is a negative impact. And do you know that “a smartphone is like a very
sharp knife?”
“Yeah.. a smartphone is like a very sharp knife”
 it means “if we use it a little wrong, we will get hurt or bring badness to ourselves, but on the other hand, if we
use it well, smartphones will really help us.”
So that no matter how advanced a smartphone is without the direction of teachers and parents, that's can lead to
bad things.

Hopefully, the pandemic will be end soon, so that we and all of the students can learn directly with teachers
supported by smartphones in order to become a smart and be character generation
