G1.1. Since he also got his meal free, he could save all that money to take home to his
family, and he was proud of the amount he was collecting for them. (p. 103)
 As a breadwinner you have to work to support your family so this could help you
to have a satistifiction of thought as he trying to work or earn money for his
family
 When you trying to work your family this could affect the life of you and
other.
G1.2. Jagu was a proprietor of a “restaurant”, the owner of an eating house on a busy
street and had plenty of customers, yet his house was in a slum.

 Even if jagu have restaurant but it still could not afford a good apartment and
only afford him self And his family
 Don’t judge book by cover as people who have job but doeasn’t mean he
has good life and finance.

G1.3. What contributed to Hari’s survival in Bombay? Explain 4 – 5 factors.


 His will : he want to survive and want his sister to married off with
good family and support his family
 His situation: live in poor family sick mother and drunken family this
is why he went to bambay because he is sick of his family
 Kindness: he meet a good people as Jagu watchman ice cream man
police man and jogger
 Goal: motivated him to work harder and save money for family and
support family
 Stay strong think positively don’t let yourself down and try to
aim higher.

 Sarcasm: The old man directly insulted Policeman to make him do his job.
 By saying a sweet word can make other feel better than bad word
G2.2. He had done it out of kindness and a wish to help, Hari knew, and he wanted to
thank Jagu but could not. (p. 118)
 He don’t want jagu to feel humiliate.
 Before thanking someone you should look at your situation first.
G2.3. Mr. Panwallah seemed to be especially kinder to Hari than to other boys. Why was

 Hari is hard working

 Grateful : because he allows Hari to work for him
 Sometime people without blood related is also kind and helpful
 Sometimes people need second chance so that they could do what they
want.

 Regretness: because he realize that his actions could hurt his family
 Soemtime people need to know how bad this action was so they could
change.
 Sometime when people realize that their action would not give advantages
so they are willing to give up.
G3.3. What were the causes of the nastiness of Jagu’s wife? Explain 4 – 5 reasons.
 Poverty: poorness also influence people behavior
 Burden: she already have 10 child but Hari also come so it would be a burden
 Personality : she might be having bar temper
 Maybe she wants Jagu to take a look and taking care of her and her children
 Maybe she thinks Jagu is having an eeasier life than him
 Maybe because of Jagu never taking care of her
 Maybe she is frustrated and wanting s1 to understand her and her husband
attention
 Sometimes telling other about your hard time is better than throwing
your anger to other people without telling them a reason

some to their father who bought extra milk and fruits for their mother with it. (p. 111)
 Lila become stronger enough to earn money and taking care of her family

 When Hari offer to have day off, as a young kid he could hang out like other kid.
