ABOUT US
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (NIT
Surat), perceives to be a globally accepted center of excellence
in technical education catalyzing the transfer of high
technologies resulting in enhanced quality.

ACM NIT Surat is a student chapter highly focused on planning

and organizing events for coding, development, design, etc.
Founded in 2005, the chapter has been a center for various
learning, fun, and productive activities. Be it coding challenges,
hackathons, quizzes, or application development, the chapter's
activities are widely acknowledged in the institute and keenly
looked for.
PURPOSE OF DOTSLASH
DOTSLASH - root to ideas is a venture by Research Park and
students of NIT Surat which aims at encouraging young and
enthusiastic minds to code, create and develop unique and
eccentric solutions to real life problems.

DOTSLASH is an event which would provide an environment

to the developers where they can test their skills, know their
true potential and contribute to the society by developing
out of the box solutions

OUR PARENT ORGANIZERS- ASHINE
ASSOCIATION FOR HARNESSING INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
(ASHINE) is a section 8 company established under Research Park at
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat to
promote and support innovation and entrepreneurship across the
institute and other technical institutions.

We implement and handle operations and management of startup and

innovation incubators. We provide state-of-theart, world class
incubation and pre-incubation facilities to startups, entrepreneurs and
innovators. We also provide business-support services and financial
guidance to them.
CO-ORGANIZERS- ACM NIT SURAT
The Association for Computing Machinery, "ACM" , is an International
Learned Society for Computing. ACM NIT-SURAT is one of its
student chapters that is operated by the students of NIT Surat.

We follow the legacy of unity and consistency to chase success and

aim to upskill the tech community and nurture the coding culture, by
organizing numerous coding contests, hackathons, hands-on
workshops, etc.

The Core team of ACM NIT-SURAT comprises the organizing

committee of the hackathon “DotSlash'' and serves the participants in
the most efficient way possible. We take immense pleasure in
announcing that we've successfully organized this Hackathon for 4
years now.
