viewpoints on an issue to show your ideas
politely and develop empathy towards others.
Present a coherent, comprehensive report on
differing viewpoints by writing your stand
using at least three sentences about the given
problem.

DISCUSSION
Issue
- It is an important topic or problem for
debate or discussion. It can be viewed from
a different perspective.
- The position of people regarding an
issue may be affected by the evidence
found, research facts, their philosophy, or
even life experiences.
Report
- A short, sharp, concise document
that is written for a particular purpose and
audience.
Viewpoints or Standpoint
- A position or perspective from which
something is considered or evaluated.
Informed Opinion
- A person’s belief, idea, or way of
thinking based on information
gathered.
Guide in making a stand:
1. Is the source of the informed opinion reliable?
2. Are there bases like proofs or facts that
support the author’s opinion?
3. In making a decision based on an informed
opinion, you will need to use your judgment,
feelings, or even your personal experiences. Try
to use the below flowchart in agreeing or
disagreeing with the other people’s statements.

Coherent
- The quality of being logical and
consistent. Our report should be clear and
well-organized.
Comprehensive
- It means complete, and it includes
everything that is necessary. We choose a
side, and we can justify it.
How to write a coherent and comprehensive
report?
1. Write the report with clarity, organization
and completeness.
2. If it is a fact, make sure to acknowledge
your sources to support your stand.
3. If it is about your view, you can use your
own experiences to justify your side. It is also
important to support, reason or basis for
these points.

4. Provide support, reason or basis on your

topic or point.
5. Observe capitalization, punctuation and
grammar in presenting your viewpoint.

To ease the conflict of any argument,
remember the following:

 Listen to what others will say.

 Be open to others’ opinions
 Respect others’ beliefs
 Do it nicely if you have to
disagree with others’ opinions.
 Present your ideas politely.
