B. During
Reading
Now everyone please bring out your
own notebooks. I want everyone to take
note of the following for you to study at
home.
(The teacher paste on the board her
written outline about the lesson)
What we did is, we thought of predicting
the outcomes.
(The teacher will write the word
“Predicting Outcomes” in the board.)
First, let’s define the word PREDICT. Yes ma’am.
Predict is our ability to say or guess
what will or might happen next or in the
future.
From the videos you have watched, how Ma’am, I can relate with what
did you predict what happened next? happened in the story so I
was able to predict what
might happen next.
Ma’am, I have based on their
characteristics. That's why I
was able to predict what the
character in the video will do
next.
Ma’am, I can relate or I have
also experienced the situation
at some point so I know what
will happen next.
Okay children, SEQUENCE is the order (The pupils answered in
of events as they happen in a story. It chorus)
helps us understand what we read. It is Yes ma’am.
putting things in order from first to last
because every situation has its
beginning and ending. To PREDICT
what will happen, we must use our
background knowledge on what we
know and understand the details of the
story to make a good prediction. Did we
get the point, children?
C. Post Reading
Children, let’s see if you really (The pupils go with their

your assigned groups and let’s have
some activities.
Each group will be given situations or
short stories and the instructions
