Run-on sentences - a run-on sentence is one in which independent clauses have been
run together without punctuation
this error can be corrected by 4 ways :-

1. by adding a period (.)

2. by adding a comma (,) and a FANBOYS ( for , and , nor , but , or , yet , so)
3. by turning an independent clause into a dependent clause by adding a sub-
ordinating conjunction between the two clauses.
4. by putting a semicolon (;) between the two independent clauses

Comma splice - it is a special type of run-on sentence where a comma is used

instead of a semicolon to join two independent clauses without a conjunction
to fix this error add a semicolon or by placing a conjunction after the comma.
