Title The Audit Plan

Task Background & Task

You have completed the Stage 1 review of “Nicosia Institute of Technology (NIT)” and
made the decision to proceed with the Stage 2 audit. Therefore you will need a plan. Your
certification body has calculated that 3 days in total is appropriate for the audit. You have
already taken 1 day to perform the Stage 1 review - that means you have 2 days left for
the Stage 2 audit. You are a team of two auditors (including the lead auditor) that means
the Stage 2 assessment will take place on one single calendar day (19th February 2021).
You must put together an audit plan covering the activities of each member of the audit
team, for that 1 day period.

Your plan should include statements describing the scope, objective and criteria of the
audit. A typical format is included below. Feel free to use this for inspiration.

Once you have completed the timetable of events, you should then indicate on the plan
which elements of ISO 45001 will be assessed at each stage

NOTE: This is a PLAN not a checklist. It should detail the schedule of activities of each
auditor, including duration of appointments and the personnel from NIT that will be
required at each stage. Remember this will be a working document for both the
AUDITORS and the AUDITEES, so please take care to make it clear and user friendly.
Remember that this is NIT’s first 3rd party audit.

Time 1 hour to prepare your written audit plan

Output An audit plan on as many pages of a word document as you think necessary, bearing in
mind it needs to cover the activities of 2 auditors across a 1 day period

Review Your tutor will facilitate a review of the output of each group at the end of the session. Be
method prepared to explain your output and your rationale, concerning things like which sites you
have chosen to visit, how much time you have allocated to each part of the audit, the
sequence of activities in your plan and so on
