Example for Proficiency Tests: STEP is a test used to determine whether

a student’s English is good enough to get into the English department.
It’s a beneficial backwash because it provides an accurate result of the
student’s English knowledge.

An example of an achievement test is a type of test where the students

are required to answer questions related to the course learning
outcomes. as an example of that listening and speaking where we
learned how to tell the difference between the syllables and how to get
information from listening to others, and so on. It had beneficial
backwash because it was all from the same objective course.
