BHU offers an ideal platform for inter and trans-disciplinary research in diverse
disciplines across the campus to establish a network among faculty members of
humanities and social sciences including arts, Indian languages, culture, law and
knowledge systems with the sciences and engineering disciplines. To encourage
academic interaction amongst faculty members from different stream of studies,
so as to identify the areas of mutual interests, which may bring exceptional
benefits for inter- and trans -disciplinary research, the University invites
proposals on inter- and trans-disciplinary research areas which must be a team
effort of investigators from different faculties to create new conceptual,
methodological innovations that integrate and transcend beyond discipline-
specific approaches. Please note the following:

1. Proposal should involve faculty members from more than one faculty of
the University. For example, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Modern
Medicine may submit a joint proposal. Existing collaboration may be
supported, if it brings new initiatives.
2. Joint work carried out in the past or joint ongoing research by colleagues
from different faculties will not be considered.
3. All awardees of IoE may also submit a new joint proposal for the
consideration.

Selection Procedure:
1. Please submit a preliminary proposal as per the following format. Based
on the evaluation of your preliminary proposal, you will be informed
whether to submit a detailed application or not by 20.06.22. The
successful applicants will be asked to submit a detailed proposal by
20.07.22
2. Among all the applicants, the Applicant I will be considered the Primary
Investigator, and the remaining applicants will be considered Co-PIs.
