Julio Vasconcellos is the Founder and Managing Partner at Atlantico, one of the leading
early-stage funds in Latin America. Prior to the world of venture, Julio got his break in
the world of startups as Facebook's first country lead for Brazil.

3) Describe three things you learned from this podcast.

- Get up to speed quickly with local laws and regulations:The sooner you’re
running a legitimate enterprise, the sooner you can build your business and
create awareness in the market.
- Know your market well:Growing middle classes in Latin America are offering new
opportunities for businesses. An increasing amount of disposable incomes opens
people up to new experiences, travel opportunities, goods and services. Also,
look to see where specific opportunities lie in each market.
- Launching a business in Latin America is a valuable opportunity. It may not be as
easy as setting up in some other countries, but it will definitely be more
interesting. Long-term gains outweigh the initial growing pains.
