Nuripa is a nuclear risk prevention association that aims to educate civilians about nuclear threats and how to protect themselves. There are currently 16,000 nuclear weapons distributed among a few countries that have ranges up to 10,000 km. The Doomsday Clock indicates that the world is currently only 1 minute and 40 seconds from a nuclear apocalypse. In addition to war risks, civilian nuclear power reactors present safety issues, as there are currently 437 operable reactors worldwide.

Hello we are Nuripa, the Nuclear Risk Prevention Association.
As our name says, we will talk about all the nuclear risks and how to prevent ourselves from any injuries. As we all know, nuclear threats have existed since the 1950s. With the rise of current conflicts, we hear more and more often of a possible escalation leading to the deployment of a nuclear weapon. In this context, we aim to protect the civilian population from these risks. As you can see on this map, a few countries actually possess nuclear weapons, because the main threat isn’t having the weapon, it is what range can they use them and how many they have. Between all those countries there are 16 000 nuclear weapons ready to be used. Their range can reach 10 000 km, that is the distance between the north pole and the equator. Now we could ask ourselves if states really consider using this weapon ? And the answer is yes, if we take the doomsday clock which evaluates the possibility of a nuclear war. We are at the moment at 1 min and 40 s from midnight, where midnight represents the apocalypse as the end of humanity. But even if there wasn’t a war, they are still nuclear reactors that are used to produce electricity. As of September 2022, there are 437 operable power reactors in the world. Additionally, there are 57 reactors under construction and 102 reactors planned. As Albert Einstein said, I know not with what weapons World WAR 3 will be fought, but World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones
