System Design and Methodology

We had three main tasks to complete for achieving our goal. 1 st is requirement
analysis i.e., collecting data about what the user of our website need. 2 nd was
developing a criterion for data collection from the mess owners and
understanding the expectations of the mess owners from the user. 3 rd is learning
and understanding the basic concepts of web development. Learning HTML,
CSS, and JAVASCRIPT. Applying this knowledge to create a website.

How does our website actually work:

Following is the home page of our website. It gives a brief introduction our
website and pictures of mess near the college with their names. Further
information is given in the about page of our website data of one of the mess in
the form of image is also given below. It has the following information:
 Name of the mess
 Distance of mess from the college
 Veg/ Non-Veg
 Seating capacity
 Price range (2 meals a day for a month)
 Timings
 Tiffin service
For developing the website, we first started by learning Html and CSS for this
we watched tutorials on YouTube and studied standard codes of some websites.
Later we proceeded by developing the body of our website. We made the
website more user friendly using basic CSS and made it attractive by adding
images. We added data we collected on the website.
In future we are going to add a search button and a filter option in the website.
