Introduction
Gabriel lost his gas stove in the recent major flooding that happened
during the November-December 2022 period. Many of his appliances
were lost including his gas stove. In a search to buy a new gas stove,
he visited three furniture stores and looked for the Whirlpool 30” Gas
Stove with the best hire purchase plan. He compares the 6-month, 12
month and 24 month plans to find out with store has the best hire
purchase plan for him.

Method of Data Collection
Three furniture stores were visited, and information was gathered via
speaking to a sales attendant. The data collected was:
1. Cash price
2. Downpayment %
3. 6-month instalments
4. 12-month plan instalments
5. 24-month plan instalments
