As the coach of the NJROTC Orienteering team I want to thank you for allowing your son
/daughter to participate. Orienteering is a competitive form of land navigation and is a
civilian run sport/activity. Competitions are usually held on Saturdays & Sundays at state
parks within the NJ, NY and PA area. This year's team will begin the season with three
Orienteering competitions in the month of October and one in the month of December. Bus
and meeting times for each event will be distributed prior to each event. All cadets have been
instructed on the appropriate attire and the requirement to bring their own food (lunch),water
and snacks. If you have any questions or wish to help chaperone an event please contact me
