A Semi Detailed Lesson Plan


For Preschool Students

I. Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a) Recognize the different colors of the Color Spectrum
b) Identify the meaning of the different colors and relate them to various objects of
the physical world.

II. Subject Matter:


a) Topic: Exploring the Color Spectrum

c) Materials:
● Low Tech: Colored Marker Pens, Instructional Materials, and
Miscellaneous Materials
● High Tech: Laptop, PowerPoint presentation, and video presentation.
d) Values: Obedience, cooperation and appreciation.

III. Procedures

A. Preparation
The teacher will begin the class by greeting the pupils, leading the prayer, and checking the
attendance.

B. Motivation
The teacher will present a music video about the primary colors and the class will sing, dance,
and point out the different colors while singing. (E.g. If they spot the color red, yellow, or blue,
then they will point to the identified color and continue singing.)

C. Lesson Proper
● The teacher will start the lesson by presenting a powerpoint slideshow
presentation that contains the entire topic about the color spectrum (e.g. red,
yellow, and blue).
● The teacher will also improvise the lesson using colored marker pens, and
various forms of instructional materials like cartolina and colored paper.

● The teacher will be using the color wheel. This will help the students to identify
the different types of colors of the color spectrum and learn their
meaning/symbolism, as well as relate them to different kinds of objects.

D. Activity
The students will arrange themselves alphabetically, and listen intently while the teacher
lectures about the different colors of the color spectrum while at the same time either individually
and collectively, they will answer the teachers questions regarding identification and association
of colors to the available objects inside the classroom.

E. Generalization
The Basic shapes are red, blue, and yellow.

F. Evaluation
The teacher will do a graded recitation of identification of colors through paper and pen
test regards the lesson.
