Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of human cultural variation,


social differences, social change, and political identities

Performance Standard: The learners shall be able acknowledge human cultural variation,
social differences, social change, and political identities

Learning Competency: The learners’ articulate observations on human cultural variation, social
differences, social change, and political identities through an introspective learning activity.

At the end of the session, learners are expected to:

a. Articulate observations on social change and human cultural variation.


b. Acknowledge social, political and cultural identities.

Teacher ask:
To define culture, society and politics

B. MOTIVATION
The teacher asks. Look at your seatmates. Notice the shape of their nose, the color
of their hair, and the color of their skin. Are theirs similar to yours? Do you speak the
same language? Do you eat the same food?

C. LESSON PROPER
a. Presenting the lesson:
This lesson is a continuation of the previous lesson but it focuses more on the
social change and cultural variation.
b. Group Activity:

ACTIVITY 1
Group Activity: Concept Mapping Directions: The teacher will distribute worksheets
containing sun diagrams which the students shall accomplish in 10 minutes.

D. GENERALIZATION
What is social change and cultural variation?

E. APPLICATION
The teacher will group the class into 3. Each group will think of social change in terms of
invention, discovery and diffusion.

Answer the following questions.
