Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of the significance of studying


culture, society, and politics
Performance Standard: The learners shall be able adopt an open and critical attitude toward
different social, political, and cultural phenomena through observation and reflection
Learning Competency: The learners’ demonstrate curiosity and an openness to explore the
origins and dynamics of culture and society, and political identities (UCSP11/12SPU-Ia-2)

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the session, learners are expected to:

1. Demonstrate curiosity and an openness to explore the origins and dynamics of


culture, society and political identities.
2. Observe social, political, and cultural behavior and phenomena

C. MOTIVATION
The teacher will ask to answer rebus puzzle from the power point presentation
about the topic.
The teacher will present a picture of food that is a cultural icon among
Filipinos and the students will share their opinion about the picture.

D. LESSON PROPER
a. Presenting the lesson:
This lesson is a continuation of the previous lesson but it focuses more on the
origins and dynamics of culture, society and political identities.

ACTIVITY 1
Directions: Identify the cultural elements of the Philippines and the USA then select
a partner and share your answers with each other.
ACTIVITY 2

Directions: Complete the table by writing the significant contributions of the


specified administrations to the different sectors of the country.

E. GENERALIZATION
The learners will summarize their learning about the topic on the origins and dynamics of
culture, society and political identities.

F. APPLICATION
The teacher will call 5 volunteers to present their activity in class.

IV. EVALUATION
Answer the following questions.
1. Explain social dynamics as social, political, and cultural change.
2. How can we improve our awareness on the social, cultural and political changes?
