QUESTIONS
1. Do you want to travel in outer space?
Wow, it is definitely fascinating question. Although it has never crossed my mind, I would
say “yes” if given a chance. It is a unique opportunity for me to let my hair down from the
hustle and bustle of city life. To be honest, I want to go to the length and breadth of the world
so space station will be a destination I will desire to go next to explore more about a space
probe, a manned space flight and space shuttle. From today, I will put it into my bucket list.

cross sb’s mind: vụt qua tâm chí, ý nghĩ của ai

let sb’s hair down: thư giãn, nghỉ ngơi
the hustle and bustle of: sự xô bồ, bộn bề của
the length and breadth of: ngang dọc khắp cái gì

2. What would you do if you had an opportunity?

Your question makes me be on cloud nine and I want to make this space exploration happen
so much.
Back to the question, if given a chance, I think I need to write a long list and some on this list
will:
First, I will take some photos in spacesuits and helmets near a spacecraft to make headlines
when going back to the Earth and I can say “Hello parents, I am another version of
Armstrong.” You know Armstrong is the first person reaching here.
Second, I will learn some alien languages so that I can communicate to them to discover the
mysteries of the universe.
Lastly, with my green fingers, I will try to plant some trees and fruits here to create a
biodiversity in this isolated place that astronauts do not have to live off vacuum-packed food.

be on cloud nine: vô cùng vui sướng

space exploration: chuyến đi khám phá vũ trụ
in spacesuits and helmets: bộ đồ phi hành gia
a spacecraft: tàu vũ trụ
make headlines: trở thành tin tức quan trọng, lan truyền rộng rãi
discover the mysteries of the universe: khám phá những điều bí ẩn trong vũ trụ
have green fingers = good at planting trees
create a biodiversity: thiết lập sự đa dạng về mặt sinh thái
isolated place: nơi hẻo lánh, tách biệt
live off: sống dựa dẫm vào cái gì
vacuum-packed food: đồ ăn gói chân không

3. Have you ever learnt about stars and outer space?

Well, I am a voracious learner so exploring new things such as stars and the cosmos is not
exceptional although it is just a drop in the ocean.
When I was a kid, my kindergarten teacher gave me a lift and on the way to my home, she
found that I was curious so she randomly told me about extraterrestrial life. She wanted to
show me that space is not in the realm of science fiction but we always have a chance to
witness in the naked eyes.
Since then, she taught our class knowledge about zero gravity, weightless conditions and
space mission.

voracious (adj): tham, ngấu nghiến (voracious reader: người ham đọc sách)
exceptional: ngoại lệ, ngoại trừ
a drop in the ocean: một hạt cát ngoài biển
give sb a lift/ride: cho ai đi nhờ

space mission: nhiệm vụ vũ trụ

4. Is it important to study stars?

To me, the importance of study stars is undeniable.
After the space race in the 1950s, the development of space exploration is widespread.
Learning about stars will give people an inspiration to produce satellite technology, be more
hopeful about the quest for a new homeland and allocate dollars for the optimistic space
projects.
Kids obtain information about the universe not just for fun but it is a motivation for them to
study well to dig these unhabitable regions.

space race: cuộc chạy đua vào không gian

give sb an inspiration to V
satellite technology: công nghệ vệ tinh nhằm mục đích liên lạc
the quest for a new homeland: sự tìm kiếm hành tinh mới cho cư dân
allocate X money: chi X số tiền
