The document opposes assigning a monetary value to human life, arguing that it is morally wrong to quantify a human being's worth based on money. The author believes it is inappropriate for an agency to value senior citizens' lives less than others, as every person's life experiences and contributions make their lives invaluable. Assigning lesser value to senior citizens' lives neglects their years of efforts and service to society.

Ascertaining the situation and the complexity of the case my
opinion in this regard is that I oppose the stand taken by the agency to assign a monetary value to human life. It was morally wrong to assign value for human life as a human can never be quantified on the basis of monetary value. In this case the senior citizens are valued less which simply neglects their years of efforts, experiences and contributions they have put in which holds no value for the society today. Also there is no such appropriate yardstick to measure human life worth as everyone’s life is valuable and in this way it is considered invaluable. Therefore, ignoring them and assigning lesser value to their lives is inappropriate.
