Act No. 1
Act No. 1
There are numerous words that can be used to express how we think about, feel about,
and behave toward ourselves. It’s reasonable if they all start to seem the same to you,
yet they are distinct ideas with their own interpretations, conclusions, and goals.
To feel worthy of yourself, you must value yourself, and to feel worthy of yourself, you
must believe that you are deserving. It is a profound sense that I am of value, that I am
loveable, vital to this life, and of inexplicable worth. Self-worth is realizing that “I am
greater than all of those things.”
Self-worth is fundamental to who we are; our ideas, feelings, and behaviors are all
closely related to how we value and see ourselves as human beings.
Avoid comparing myself to other people. I stop comparing my value to others because
everyone has a unique personality, and we're all going through different stages of
growth and development.
Stop worrying about being accepted by others. I know some of us are born into world
where we are taught to seek approval and do what other people expect of us but we
should stop that because learning to be true to ourselves and not being afraid to
express our needs and desires is a powerful step toward self-love.

Live life moment to moment. Find value in every moment, and look for meaning in
everything I do. Living in the past can lead to regrets, and living in the future can make
us feel disappointed about the present.
