2. Why do you think women used the Declaration of Independence as their main
inspiration?
It states that all men are created equal and have certain inalienable rights: life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness.
3. What tactics do you think women groups could use to get their message across?
Traditional lobbying and petitioning
4. What do you think the goals of this movement will be?
to achieve voting rights for women by means of a Congressional amendment to the Constitution
