Ready to operate conditions

The READY TO OPERATE conditions are the following :

- Vessel filled with 1000 Kg of powder extinguisher

- N2 cylinders filled with 200 bar of nitrogen
- All the manual operated ball/butterfly valves, and the valves on the
cylinders CLOSED
- Pressure gauges at “ZERO”
- Flat hoses (pos.31) connected to the dedicated outlets of the vessel

PROCEDURE
DETASSAGE

To open the N2 27 Lt (pos.1) reducer (pos.5) lowers the

cylinder valve pressure at max 10 bar.

Open the 3/4” valve (pos.27) N2 flows inside the vessel for
the detassage procedure

Pull the lever (pos.3) The high pressure fills the HP

Or open the 1/4” valve (pos.28)
To open the N2 50 Lt (pos. 2)
FIRE FIGHTING USE
manifold and the pressure
reducer (pos.6) lowers the
pressure at max 12 bar.
The system is ready to

Open the pressurizing valve N2 flows inside the vessel

manually operated (pos.12) reaching the operating pressure

Open the delivery valve 11/2” Powder flows from the vessel
(pos.25) manually operated and feeds the flat hose (pos.31)

Open the delivery valve 3” Powder flows from the vessel

(pos.26) manually operated and feeds the monitor (pos.33)

Close the pressurizing valve

Close the delivery valves

CLEANING

Depressurize the vessel with 1/2”

valve (pos.21)

Clean the delivery pipes using an

external source through the external
flushing coupling under the 1/4”
check valves (pos.23)
Once the operational activities are completed, bring the powder system
back to "ready to operate” conditions

WARNING:

the powder is delivered at high pressure from the gun.
