DAILY LESSON LOG OF STEM_PC11SMI-Ij-1 (Week Ten-Day Two)

School Grade Level Grade 11

Teacher Learning Area Precalculus
Teaching Date and Time Quarter Second
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the
objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and
remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are
I. OBJECTIVES assessed using Formative Assessment Strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and
competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives
shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of the key concepts of circular functions,
trigonometric identities, inverse trigonometric functions, and the polar coordinate
system.
B. Performance Standards The learner is able to formulate and solve accurately situational problems involving
circular functions.
Learning Competency:
Solve problems using mathematical induction and the Binomial Theorem
(STEM_PC11SMI-Ij-2)
Learning Objectives:

1. Review the detials of the Binomial Theorem.
Objectives
2. Expand a binomial using the Binomial Theorem
3. Compute all or specified terms of a binomial expansion using the binomial
theorem.
4. Provide an organized and well written solutions to problems.

These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that
pupils/students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the pupils/ students
which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing
IV. PROCEDURES pupils/students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice the learning, question their learning
processes, and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and
previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.
Recall the Binomial Theorem

Allow the students to identify the different parts that make-up the Binomial
theorem such as n, i, combination of n and i and summation. This activity may be
done orally.
A. Review previous lesson
or presenting the new
lesson

The teacher lets the students realize that using binomial theorem, we can expand
B. Establishing a purpose
any binomial raised to a certain exponent and determine the all/any specified term
for the lesson
of the expansion even without expanding.
C. Presenting examples/
instances of the new
lesson
D. Discussing new
concepts and practicing
new skills #1
E. Discussing new
concepts and practicing
new skills #2
F. Developing mastery
(leads to formative
assessment 3)
G. Finding practical
applications of concepts
and skills in daily living
H. Making generalizations
and abstractions about
the lesson

I. Evaluating Learning

Allow the students to answer the activity individually.
