Music is made up of rhythm patterns. These patterns may be similar
or dissimilar. Pattern is repeated all throughout the song. Patterns
like these are called similar patterns. Like any musical pattern, same
patterns can be represented by symbols to show the design of the
song. Pattern that is not repeated is called dissimilar patterns. There
are many ways of arranging these patterns to show the design of a
piece of music. To know the musical design, we must look at how
the patterns are arranged.
