25th Speech

Introduction:

Welcome guys, Now for the few of you that do not know me and for those I haven’t seen
before, I am the first son of the celebrants speaking on behalf of my sibling.

Wow so much glamour in 1 place. I am very galvanized, I must say. To all my guests,
gorgeous looking ladies and handsomely dressed gents. Good evening, namaste and
welcome to this extraordinary special event as we celebrate my parents 25 th wedding
anniversary. We are gathered here today to celebrate something truly magical.
Something so rare, fortuitous and wonderful that it simply must be celebrated. I
am, of course, talking about the fantasti c food, the photo prop and the open
bar. Many people have asked me why throw such a big fat event. Well, my response to that
was 2 simple basic lines “We love partying” & “We do not need any damn reason to
celebrate anything, we are the life of the party”. Am I right or am I right guys.

I would also like to take this opportunity to show my gratitude to my exceptionally dazzling
guests. As my whole family truly appreciates your presence and for sparing some free time
from your very busy free schedule and gracing my parents with your felicitations. Therefore,
making this distinctive event, even more remarkable and memorable for each individual
here.

Toast:

it’s the first and presumably the last time anyone has trusted me to give a speech. Thank
you for joining us as we reminisce about a beautiful love story that began a little over 25
years ago. It means so much that you have travelled from all over to make it here today to
share memories with my Mom and Dad. It shows the amount of love that is in this room.
Your presence is not only a declaration of how blessed my Mom & Dad are with enduring
friendships, but it is also a testament to the type of people you are. You all make wonderful
friends.

I don't want to speak for long tonight, but there are some important things I'd like to say.
First of all, congratulations, Mom and Dad. 25 years of doing nothing & anything is a long
time, and still being married is much more commendable. 

In our lifetimes, we are gifted with a limited number of truly "landmark moments". They
start small enough, like me crashing my remote control helicopter on the very first day my
dad bought for me from China, or telling my parents they need therapy (To which they do),
or wrecking my dad’s car. I have come to realize the true meaning of a perfect landmark
moment, It’s when my parents look at each other. It is when you look into the eyes of the
most loving, caring, and giving individual that you've ever known and realize you've found
true love. And so, my brother and I wanted to ensure that this particular moment, 25 years
ago, in the lives of our Mom and Dad does not pass unrecognized. 
There is a saying that goes “Tell me whom you love and I will tell you who you are.” Mom,
because of your grace and beauty it isn't hard to see why Dad fell in love with you. You were
especially attentive to all the details which make a family thrive and our house became a
home every time you walked through the front door. You gave us life and let us live. You
kept us all happy, rich with love and fun (idk about that). The nature of our mother-son
relationship has changed as I have grown up. It has grown just as I have grown.

And Dad there is something captivating about your obvious affection for Mom. Your
patience and kindness is something that has kept us all grounded. You stood up as one of
our biggest protectors when life always got to be overwhelming. You had all the answers at
all the right times, and even when you didn't, you never failed to pretend you did. There is
something special between a father and a son that seems to defy explanation. You have
always been my confidante. I have said it before, you are the person upon which I measure
all others. You have always inspired me to move forward and continue to strive to be my
best. You have always been a great influence on my life, and I am very thankful that I have
such a role model to learn from. 

And, it's no wonder that our family's love continues to grow. Because of the constant
encouragement and support from both of you, I stand here today as the man you have
helped me become. I am so very proud to be your son. So proud to be a result of your
union . . . a reflection of your love for each other.

I thought of closing by wishing you the very best; but then, you already have each other.
Therefore I would like to conclude by saying 2 things: “May all your ups and downs be only
in bed” and “Let’s raise our glasses to the two secrets of long lasting marriage: a good sense
of humour and a short term memory”

Event:

So, without any further ado, let us get this party started!!!, we are at the most awaited part
of the evening. We have a very exhilarating evening planned for my adorable guests, that
will definitely keep you glued to your seats. For staters we have an intoxicating couple
dances, followed by electrifying siblings dance, accompanied by adorable teens
performance. And finally, we save the best for last. We have a sensational explosive solo
dance. Guys before we start. I would like to humbly request you to show your
support/appreciation/claps/whistles/throw your shoes to these entertainers. They have
worked really hard to entertain us throughout the night. So please do not be afraid to
motivate them, support them and make some noise for them.
