2. TENSES
There are several ways of revising and practising tenses and one such way
is the use of flash cards. CHOOSE ANY ONE VERB ON YOUR OWN
FREE WILL AND BASED ON THAT VERB CREATE FLASH CARDS
OF THE THREE DIFFERENT TENSES IN THEIR SIMPLE FORMS
AND IN THEIR PROGRESSIVE SIMPLE FORMS. THEREFORE,
YOU NEED TO MAKE SIX FLASHCARDS. EACH FLASH CARD
WILL HAVE THE TENSE WRITTEN ON IT AND YOUR CHOSEN
VERB IN THE RELEVANT TENSE USED IN A SENTENCE AS
EXAMPLE. MAKE YOUR FLASH CARDS COLOURFUL AND
INTERESTING WITH THE USE OF ILLUSTRATIONS.
a. ON THE UNRULED PAGE OF A LAB FILE, PASTE THE
COLOURFUL FLASH CARDS CREATED BY YOU. You will need to
use more than one unruled page to paste the flashcards with glue.
b. THEN, ON THE RULED PAPER, write a paragraph in your own words
(100 words approximately) and IN YOUR OWN HANDWRITING on
what you learnt while working on the project and how it has helped you,
and what you discovered about your strengths and weaknesses while you
worked on the project. (Provide an appropriate heading.)
c. On the first ruled page of your file please mention:
➢ English Project
➢ your name, your class, your section, session and ID No.
➢ the name of the topic you have chosen – TENSES
➢ the title of the project – LEARNING TENSES WITH FLASH CARDS
d. On the last ruled page of your project file mention under the heading
SOURCES the complete names of the websites or pages or the books that
you may look up for artistic ideas.
e. The project file should be covered neatly. You may use coloured paper
for the purpose. ON THE COVER please mention:
➢ English Project
➢ your name, your class, your section and session
➢ the name of the topic you have chosen
