Our group, group two has decided on doing the topic crime.

This group consist of six members each

given separate subtopics under the main topic. These include trafficking, robberies, cybercrime, white
collar crime and domestic violence. We communicated on several forums like Whatsapp group chat, a
teams channel, group calls and face to face meetings at school. Our data was collected via the use of the
internet, social media monitoring, surveys and information obtain from local and global newspapers.

Our group has good coordination which in turn allows effective work and communication among
members in which they all contributed their various perspectives which made the experience more
enjoyable. In addition, we learnt to socialize with people with different personalities and to be prepared
for future group collaborations. We are satisfied with the changes we made and our corporation
resulted in punctual work submission.

The groups coordination lifted the work load on members compared to if the SBA was done
individually. There was no conflict amongst members as we all worked proficiently.

Collectively the group had 18 articles which we selected three. An article on human trafficking by David
A feingold, a poem on domestic violence by Ordia Michael and a advertisment on kidnapping by Sutton
special risk. The article caught our attention as it discusses the serious and growing concerns about the
increase in labour trafficking. It is not given the attention deserved because sex trafficking is more
spoken about when in reality both are equally important and need immediate attention. The poem on
domestic violence states the victim’s life changing drastically from being in love to being in fear. We are
now more knowledgeable than before about the things that occurs in a victim’s life and that makes us
feel sympathy for the victim. The advertisement b rought attention to Kidnapping which resulted in
us seeing the high percentage of missing persons cases.

In conclusion, these three articles have taught us that crime needs to be taken seriously so that
we can feel hospitable in our country.
