IMPORTANT! While carrying out the work, cover all holes for e.g. turbocharger and fluid filler to
prevent bolts and other parts from entering the engine. Contaminants entering the engine can cause
severe engine damage.

entering the engine.

29 Lifting eyes 99 398 One lifting eye at the rear of each 29
cylinder line. Use flange bolts M12x30
and torque tighten to 92 Nm. The bolt
holes are plugged. Fold away the drain
pipe to fit the right-hand lifting eye, fold
away the fuel pressure test connection to
fit the left-hand lifting eye.
30 Lifting chain 99 094 to rear lifting eyes. 30
31 Lever block 587 308 to front lifting eye. The engine lifting angle can be adjusted 31
with the lever block.

IMPORTANT! The lifting eyes on the engine are not dimensioned to lift the whole vehicle and
therefore must not be used for this purpose. When lifting the engine, all three lifting eyes must always
be used.

IMPORTANT! The lifting eyes are dimensioned for a maximum lifting angle of 20° when lifting the
engine.
