Otter Trail Package

Terms & Conditions

(Valid until 31 October 2013)

Definitions
Ashtons Tours & Safaris is herein after referred to as “The Company” and the person
or persons who are responsible for the booking and payment thereof, is herein after
referred to as the "Client". Upon payment the Client agrees to be bound by these
booking conditions and any contract between the Client and The Company is subject
to and shall be governed and construed according to South African law.

The Booking
A non refundable deposit of 50% of the package price must be paid by agreed date.
The balance of the package price is to be paid electronically or by credit card by
agreed date, prior to the date of package commencement.

Once The Company is in receipt of the required deposit, a confirmation will be issued.
It is only at this time the booking will be deemed to be accepted. The Company
reserves the right to decline any booking.

All correspondence in regard to this reservation must be done by the person

responsible for the reservation. Individual correspondence with members of the
group will not be entered into.

Cancellation or changes to Bookings

Cancellation or changes of any booking must be received in writing and
acknowledged by The Company. In the event of cancellation the following
cancellation fees will be payable by the client. 90 to 31 days prior to arrival – 50%
forfeiture. 30 days or less prior to or on arrival – 100% forfeiture.

Changes made by the client: If the reservation needs to be changed for any reason,
The Company will make every effort to assist the Client. The reservation may be
moved to another date, subject to availability and agreement with our reservation
office. Should we not be able to help you with alternative dates, the normal
cancellation fees will apply based on the original reservation date.
Age restrictions and fitness

 The age restrictions of 12 (minimum age) and 65 (maximum age) years

are used as indicative ages, due to the level of physical demands of the
Otter Trail.
 All hikers from the ages of 65 and above will be requested to produce a
recent doctor’s certificate that confirms their fitness level to undertake
the challenging terrain of the Otter Trail.
 All young hikers below 12 years of age should be accompanied by their
parents/guardians who will be legal signatories to SANParks Indemnity
Form to be submitted with copies of their identity document or
passport at the Tsitsikamma reception desk before undertaking the
Otter Trail.

Force Majeure
Unforeseen circumstances including weather, road conditions, war, mechanical
breakdowns, riots and other reasons beyond the control of The Company may cause
delays or alterations to the Package. In the event of any of the aforementioned
occurring, The Company shall not be held liable in any way for any resulting costs of
these delays or alterations.
