1. Network Modeling

1.1 Site/Transmitter modeling

There are 20 APs have been defined on the planning area:

1.2 Antenna modeling

The antenna models have been created as following graphs showed:

Sector antenna:
Onmi antenna:
I found some of the antennas were located inside of building based on the digital map
(building_vectors). Benefit from Crosswave propagation model, I calculated the offset suggestion.
You may find those files from folder "antenna position ". For the direction sectors, I moved the
antennas location to the edge of building. For the Onmi sectors, I raised the antenna height to
the rooftop.

1.3 MIMO modeling

For MIMO (transmission diversity) modeling, the transmission port and reception port in
Transmitters and Terminals have been defined as 2.

1.4 Cell parameters definition

Please find attached excel table. All of the parameters definition could be found inside of this
table.

2. Crosswave propagation model definition

In the demo project, Crosswave propagation model has been used to calculate path loss matrix. I
imported DTM, clutter class and building vector maps into Atoll for the calculation.
Morphology file and Graph file for Crosswave have been created.
During the calculation, main calculation radius have been set to 600m and main resolution have
been set to 5m.

3. Traffic modeling and Monte-Carlo simulation

Sector traffic map is used for the Monte-Carlo simulation in Atoll. Because there is not any
available traffic data. I used the traffic map based on Number of Active Users. I defined 40 users
for each transmitter. And the users have been distributed according to the coverage area of each
transmitter.
