1. Find the distance between the points (1, 3) and (-2, 7).
2. Find the distance of the point (5, 12) from origin.
3. Prove that the distance of point (sinα, cosα) from origin is independent of α.
4. Find the slope of line joining points (1, 3) and (2, 4).
5. Find the ratio in which point (3, 4) divide the line segment joining (2, 3) and (5, 6).
6. Find the coordinates of a point dividing line segment joining (5, -2) & (9, 6) in 3:1.
7. Find the length of median through A for a triangle whose vertices are A(-1, 3), B(1, -1)
and C(5, 1).
8. The ratio in which x-axis divides the join of the points (2, –3) and (5, 6) is

midpoint of BC. (Refer given diagram)
14. Prove that origin is circumcentre of triangle formed by
(5,0), (4,3) and (3,4). Hence find its orthocentre.
15. If the coordinate of circumcentre of a triangle is (3/2, 3) and orthocenter is (3, 6). Then
coordinates of centroid is-

16. The coordinates of a point are (0, 1) and the ordinate of another point is – 3. If the
distance between the two points is 5. Then the abscissa of another point is

23. Let P be a point on circumcircle of triangle ABC. H be its orthocenter. Let midpoint of
PH is M, also let midpoint of BC is N. Prove that MN is perpendicular to PA. (Hint: To
prove perpendicular show that product of slopes is -1)
24. For a triangle ABC, Let D,E,F be midpoints of its sides. Let N be the midpoint of the
line segment joining orthocenter and circumcentre. Prove that ND=NE=NF.
25. ABCD is a square. Point P divides AC in 1:2 ratio, Q divides BD in 2:3 ratio. Find the
ratio of lengths of PQ and AB.
26. ABCD is a rectangle such that length of AB is twice of BC. If M is the midpoint of BC,
N divides AB in 1:2. Let P be the midpoint of diagonal AC. Find (PA2 +PN2)/(MN2).
27. Line segment AB is parallel to another line segment CD. O is the midpoint of AD. Show
that O is also the mid-point of BC.
28. ∆ABC is an isosceles triangle in which AB=AC. Side BA is produces to D such that
AD=AB. Show that angle BCD is right angle.
