TITLE: GRADUATE SEMINAR

THEME: TAKE A LEAP! MAKE IT HAPPEN!

RATIONALE
Special education is the practice of providing individualized instruction and
support to students with disabilities or learning difficulties. It is designed to be need-
based and individualized, which means that every student in special education will
have a different plan depending on their needs, abilities and goals.
The activity with its theme “Take a Leap! Make it Happen!” is a way for
graduate seminar students to take its way forward with great stride in valuing
inclusive education and attending to the needs of those who are in special education.
More so, as Physical Educators, the push on the need for fitness and health
development of these individuals with special needs are to be given focus and
attention for they need it the most. Persons with special needs are no other persons.
They are someone to hold and to give hope with and to feel them that there are
people who cares and love them. Person with disabilities are the main recipients of
this outreach program, we have chosen them because we wanted to make them feel
that they are not different from others and make them feel valued even for a moment
in the spirit of Christmas.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To engage SPED learners in moderate to vigorous physical activities;
2. To promote a happy living lifestyle of being physically active among SPED
learners;
3. To foster inclusivity and promote a just and loving community through
reaching-out.
