Coat of Arms
1.The shield represents the unity of all states in Malaysia.
2.Two tigers supporting the shield symbolize bravery.
3. The 14 pointed stars represent the 13 states and the federal authorities.
4. The crescent symbolizes Islam as the official religion of the country.The
yellow colour symbolizes the country’s monarchy.
5. The five ‘keris’ on the shield represent Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan, Terengganu
and Johor.
6. The hibiscus picture represents the official flower of Malaysia.
7.The motto with the phrase ‘Unity is Strength’ is located below the shield.

As a conclusion, the coat of arms symbolizes pride and dignity of the


country. It is only allowd to be used for legal and official purposes
normally by government.
