CLIMATE ACTION PROJECT – WEEK 4

Specific actions that could help prevent further problems and effects:

FLORA (PLANTS) ● Recycle paper, so that fewer trees are cut down.

● Do not dispose of residual and flammable waste in

forests, in order to prevent an unexpected fire.

● Do not throw chemically corrosive and harmful

household materials into water courses, in order to
prevent the death of aquatic flora.

● Reforest the Earth with plants of different species,

to ensure the preservation of biodiversity in terms
of planetary flora.

● Responsible and careful disposal (in proper places)

of cooking and automotive oils, so that these
compounds do not contaminate water, water that is
essential for the existence of terrestrial and aquatic
plants.

● Improved management of sewage/sanitation

networks, so that less trash is dumped into the sea
or land and causes fewer deaths of autotrophic
living beings (plants).

● Use of chemical residue filtering systems in the

mechanized dumping structures of the factories,
inhibiting or reducing the acidification and
contamination of ocean waters and consequently
reducing the death of plants in the marine
environment.

● Make organic composting, this way less waste goes

to open waste landfills and less artificial fertilizers
are used, so less pollution is generated and fewer
plants die.
FAUNA (ANIMALS) ● Do not fish during breeding seasons and obey the
rules that indicate the amount of fish allowed.
● Do not carry out illegal hunting.
● Never place garbage in rivers, lakes and other
aquatic environments, as fish cannot distinguish
garbage from food, and may ingest it.
● Never buy exotic animals without registration. By
buying illegal animals, you are building for animal
trafficking, a worldwide problem that affects a
region's biodiversity, and can even drive species to
extinction.
WEATHER PATTERNS ● Change the means of transport.
● Control energy consumption.
● Consume sustainable and locally sourced products.
● Don't waste food.
HUMAN ACTIVITY AND ● Completely turn off equipment like televisions and
LIFESTYLE stereos when you're not using them.
● Choose energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs.
● Let clothes dry naturally.
● Keep lids on pans when cooking to conserve energy.
● Use rechargeable batteries.
