Work Immersion Proper Week 2 for STEM

(Ikalawang Linggo ng Work Immersion Proper para sa STEM)

OBJECTIVES (Mga Layunin):

1. Appreciate management processes by online observing, identifying and describing

through online video viewing and livestreaming conducted by the designated Work
Immersion Coordinator from the respective Work Immersion Partners of the following:
1.1 Nature of the business
1.2 Description of the products or services
1.3 Target clientele Organizational structure
1.4 Company rules and regulations
2. Appreciate work processes by online participation or viewing of various work processes
inherent with jobs related to the STEM, HUMSS and ABM Academic Strands through
online video viewing and video livestreaming conducted by the designated Work
Immersion Coordinator from the respective Work Immersion Partners.
3. Applying skills learned and proper values acquired at home and in online schooling
through output submissions and online virtual conferences

FOLLOW UP (Pagsunod sa Ginawa)

In the previous Week (Week 5), you

should have accomplished your first set of
activities and tasks for the first week of the
Work Immersion Proper covering the STEM Academic Strand, filled out the first set of Weekly
Immersion Work Log and Weekly Work Immersion Reflection, and have uploaded all of them in
your online Work Immersion Portfolio. Like any worker who are bound to accomplish their duties,
you should have done them as Work Immersion students. You are doing these as part of your
preparation in the actual working world.

Noong nakaraang Linggo (Week 5), inaasahan na naisagawa muna ang unang mga
gawain at tungkulin para sa unang linggo ng Work Immersion Proper na sumasaklaw sa STEM
Academic Strand, nasagutan ang unang gawain para sa lingguhang Immersion Work Log at
lingguhang Work Immersion Reflection, at naipasa o nai-upload ang lahat ng mga ito sa iyong
online Work Immersion Portfolio. Tulad ng isang manggagawa na may pananagutang isagawa at
tapusin ang kanyang mga tungkulin, dapat naisagawa mo rin ang mga ito bilang mga mag-aaral
ng Work Immersion. Isinasagawa mo ang mga ito bilang bahagi ng iyong paghahanda sa
totohanang mundo ng paggawa.

All of the activities and duties that you have accomplished should have been mentioned as
entries in your Weekly Immersion Work Log, which includes the answering of the Let’s Recall
(Balikan Natin), the completion of the different tasks and the accomplishment of the Weekly
Immersion Work Log and Reflection. These are ways of keeping you updated with what you are
supposed to do and avoid them putting off thereby preventing backlogs of activities and tasks.

 Ang lahat ng mga gawain at tungkulin na iyong isinagawa ay dapat binanggit sa
pagsasagawa ng Weekly Immersion Work Log, kinabibilangan nito ang pagsagot ng Let’s Recall
(Balikan Natin), pagkumpleto ng mga iba’t ibang tungkulin at ang pagsasagawa ng Weekly
Immersion Work Log at Reflection. Ito ay mga kaparaanan upang maging maagap ka sa mga
dapat mong gawin at iwasang ipagpaliban ang pagsasagawa ng mga ito, sa gayon, naiiwasan ang
pagkakatambak ng mga hindi tapos na gawain at tungkulin.

There are well-known workers who are at the forefront in the battle against the COVID
pandemic, particularly, the medical health workers. These frontliners are very essential in
preventing, controlling and treating COVID infections. Answer the following items to check on
your awareness and knowledge of the working situation. (May mga kilalang mga manggagawa na
nangunguna sa paglaban kontra sa pandemya na dulot ng COVID, sila ang mga manggagawang
pangkalusugan. Ang mga nangungunang manggagawa ay napakahalaga upang iwasan, sugpuin
at gamutin ang sakit na dulot ng COVID. Sagutin ang mga sumusunod upang alamin ang saklaw
ng iyong kamalayan at kaalaman ng kalagayan sa paggawa.) Total 10 points.

1. Enumerate at least five medical health workers that is at the forefront of the battle against
COVID. (Isa-isahin ang hindi sa bababa na limang mga manggagawang pangkalusugan
na nasa unahan sa pakikipaglaban sa COVID). 5 points.

2. Among the medical health workers that you have mentioned, which one is the most
essential and needed at this time? Why? (Sa mga binanggit mong manggagawang
pangkalusugan, alin sa mga ito ang pinakamahalaga at pinakakailangan?) 5 points.

STEM-Related Work (Mga Trabahong Ugnay sa STEM)

STEM jobs are often thought of as high-tech careers, perhaps because they are the jobs of
the future. Not all of these positions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are that
high-tech, advanced or futuristic. These jobs are diverse. (Ang mga trabahong STEM ay malimit
na itinuturing na mataas na uri na hanapbuhay, ipinapalagay ito sa kadahilanang ito ay
itinuturing na mga trabaho sa hinaharap. Hindi lahat ng mga trabaho sa STEM ay mataas ang
turing, makabago o panghinaharap. Ang mga trabahong ito ay malawak at naiiba.)
In the continually evolving sectors of science, technology, engineering and math, there are
numerous opportunities to find entry-level positions as well as more senior roles. Understanding
the education, training and skills needed for STEM jobs can help you decide which career path is
best for you. (Sa patuloy na nagbabago na larangan ng agham, teknolohiya, inhinyero at
matematika, mayroong maraming pagkakataon upang makahanap ng bagong posisyon sa trabaho
gayun din sa mas nakatataas na mga posisyon. Ang pag-unawa sa edukasyon, pagsasanay at
kakayanan na kailangan para sa mga trabahong ugnay sa STEM ay makatutulong sa

A STEM job is any job in the fields of science, technology, engineering or math. With a
foundation in these subjects, a STEM career allows you to solve problems, develop new ideas and
conduct research. These professionals can work in a variety of settings, including in an office,
laboratory, research facility, classroom or out in the field. (Ang trabahong STEM ay kahit anong
hanapbuhay sa larangan ng agham, teknolohiya, inhinyero at matematika. Sa batayang kaalaman
ng mga aralin nito, ang isang STEM na hanapbuhay ay magbibigay katugunan sa iyo upang
tumugon sa mga suliranin, gumawa ng mga baong kaisipan at magsagawa ng pagsasaliksik. Ang
mga propesyonal ng STEM ay makagagawa sa mga iba’t ibang kalagayan, kabilang ang opisina,
laboratoryo, pasilidad para sa pagsasaliksik, silid-aralan o sa labasan.)

Soft Skills for STEM
In addition to field-specific technical skills, STEM jobs require soft skills. These soft skills
are a combination of people skills, social skills, communication skills, character or personality
traits, attitudes, career attributes, social intelligence, and emotional intelligence quotients that
enable employees to navigate their environment, work well with others, perform well and achieve
their goals. Soft skills for STEM includes (Dagdag sa mga kakayahang teknolohiya, ang mga
hapapbuhay ugnay sa STEM ay nangangailangan ng mga soft skills. Ito ay pinagsamang
kakayahang pantao, pang-ugnayan, pangpakikipagtalastasan, pag-uugali, katangiang
panghanapbuhay, talinong pang-ugnayan at pangdamdamin na siyang nagkakaloob sa mga
manggagawa ng kaparaanang gamayin ang kanilang kalagayan, makipagtrabaho sa kapwa
mangagawa, gumawa ng maayos at marating ang kanilang mithiin, na kinabibilangan.
