Preliminary Phase

Preparation Week 1
(Linggo ng Paghahanda)

OBJECTIVES (Mga Layunin):

1. Carry out initial preparations before the actual start of the formal Work Immersion class
Isagawa ang mga unang paghahanda bago magsimula ang aktwal na pag-aaral ng Work
Immersion.
2. Introduction of the WI Partners. Pagpapakilala ng mga katuwang sa Work Immersion.

INTRODUCTION (Panimula)

Work immersion is a key feature in the Senior High School

curriculum and refers to the part of that consists of 80 hours of virtual
or online experience or work simulation wherein Grade 12 students
like you will undergo to expose you to different work settings and to
enrich your competencies provided that your school has provided for
the past three semesters.

Ang Work Immersion ay isang mahalagang bahagi ng Kurikulum ng Senior High School
at ito ay binubuo ng walumpung (80) oras ng virtual o online na gawain ukol sa paggawa
(work) kung saan ang mga mag-aaral sa Grade 12, tulad mo, ay matutunghayan ang mga iba’t
ibang kalagayan paggawa at papagyamanin ang iyong kasanayan na ibinahagi sa iyo ng iyong
paaralan sa nakaraang tatlong (3) semestre (Grade 11 1st and 2nd Semesters, Grade 12 1st
Semester).

Work Immersion is one of the course requirements for graduation. You, a Senior High
School student, have to undergo Work Immersion in different private and/or public offices,
establishment, or institutions whose work requirements are related to the different work
specializations.

Ang Work Immersion ay isa mga kailangang aralin para sa pagtatapos. Ikaw, isang mag-
aaral sa Senior High School, ay kailangang sumalang sa iba’t ibang mga pampribado at/o
pampublikong opisina, establisyamento o institusyon kung saan ang mga kinakailangan sa
paggawa ay nakaugnay sa iba’t ibang kasanayan ng paggawa.

Through Work Immersion, you will be exposed to and become familiarized with work-
related environment related to the different fields of specialization based on the three strands of
the Academic Track of the Senior High School, namely, STEM, ABM, and HUMSS. Work
Immersion will enable you to become familiar with the workplaces, experience online workplace
simulation and apply your competencies.

Sa pamamagitan ng Work Immersion, ikaw ay malalantad at masasanay sa mga

kalagayang paggawa na ugnay sa iba’t ibang larangan ng kasanayan na batay sa tatlong
Strands ang Academic Track ng Senior High School na kinabibilangan ng STEM, ABM, at

HUMSS. Sasanayin ka ng Work Immersion sa mga lugar ng paggawa, makaranas online ng
lugar ng paggawa, at mailapat ang iyong mga kasanayan sa mga ito.

LET’S RECALL (Balikan Natin)

You already know what work is and the different kinds of work. Some of you could have
actually experienced working or is currently working. Answer the following questions regarding
your knowledge about work in general (Alam mo na ang ibig sabihin ng paggawa o trabaho at
ang iba’t ibang mga uri ng paggawa. Ang iba sa inyo ay nakaranas na maghanapbuhay, ang iba
naman ay kasalukuyang naghahanaap buhay. Sagutan ang mga sumusunod na mga katanungan
batay sa iyong kaalaman tungkol sa paggawa). You can answer in English or Filipino
(Maaaring sagutin sa Inggles o Filipino), 10 points total.

1. What kind of work have you experienced, is currently experiencing or planning to do?
(Anong uri ng trabaho ang naranasan mo, kasalukuyang dinaranas o pinaplanong
gawin?) Two to three sentences (Dalawa hanggang tatlong pangungusap) 3 Points.

2. Cite the reason/s for working or the reason for planning to have this kind of work. (Ilahad
ang dahilan o mga dahilan sa pagta-trabaho mo o dahilan sa pagpili ng trabahong nais
mong pasukan) Four to five sentences (Apat hanggang limang pangungusap) 4 Points.

3. Whom do you consider as your work model? Why? (Sino ang itinuturing mo na huwaran
ng paggawa? Bakit?) Three to four sentences (Tatlong hanggang apat na pangungusap)
3 Points.

Work Immersion Phases (Mga Yugto ng Work Immersion)

Phase I (Unang Yugto): Preliminary Phase

Phase II (Ikalawang Yugto): Pre-Immersion Phase
Phase III (Ikatlong Yugto): Immersion Proper Phase
Phase IV (Ikaapat na Yugto): Post-Immersion Phase
Phase V (Ikalimang Yugto): Completion Phase

Preliminary Phase (Paunang Yugto)

The Preliminary Phase is an added Localized Phase in the DepEd SHS Work Immersion
MELCs (DM-CI-2020-00085) to help and assist you in your preparation for the subject, ease the
implementation of the Pre-Immersion Phase and prevent loss of time. This will ease monitoring
and evaluation of your activities and outputs in the following phases.

Ang Preliminary Phase ay idinagdag na Pansariling Yugto sa DepEd SHS Work

Immersion MELCs (DM-CI-2020-00085) upang matulungan at magabayan ka sa paghahanda
mo para sa aralin na ito, pagaanin ang pagpapatupad ng susunod na yugto, ang Pre-Immersion
Phase at maiwasan ang pagkasayang ng panahon. Pagagaanin nito ang pagsusubaybay at
pagtatasa ng iyong mga gawain at sulatin sa mga susunod na yugto.

Example: DE LA CRUZ, JUAN A. - WORK IMMERSION PORTFOLIO

2. If you encounter difficulty creating your Google Drive folder, create a Work Immersion
Portfolio Group Page using your Facebook account, there will be only two members
of your Group Page, you and me your teacher. Make sure you invite me to join (Kung
sakaling mahirapan ka sa paggawa ng Google Drive folder, gumawa ka ng Work
Immersion Group Page gamit ang iyong Facebook account, dalawa lang ang magiging
kasapi o member ng iyong Group Page, ikaw at ako iyong guro).

Name your Facebook Group Page using All Caps font (Pangalanan mo ang iyong Gdrive
ng ganito):
SURNAME, FIRST NAME, MIDDLE INITIAL - WORK IMMERSION PORTFOLIO
Example: DE LA CRUZ, JUAN A. - WORK IMMERSION PORTFOLIO

3. Copy and Answer the Let’s Recall Activity on your Answer Sheet. Write your Name,
Section, Subject: Work Immersion, Week No. 1 and Date (Kopyahin at sagutan ang
gawain ng Balikan Natin sa iyong sagutang papel. Isulat ang iyong Pangalan, Section,
Aralin: Work Immersion, Week No. 1 at Petsa).

Submit by uploading a soft copy, screenshot or picture of your answer sheet in your
depedparanaquecity.com Work Immersion Google Drive or Facebook Work Immersion
Group Page (Isumite sa pamamagitan ng pag-upload ng soft copy, screenshot o picture
ng iyong sagutang papel sa iyong depedparanaquecity.com Work Immersion Google
Drive o Facebook Work Immersion Group Page).

4. Join the Class Work Immersion Messenger Group or Group Chat (Sumali sa Work
Immersion Messenger Group o Group Chat ng iyong klase).

5. Join the Class Work Immersion Group Page (Sumali sa Work Immersion Group Page
ng iyong klase).

Accomplish these before our class next week. (Isagawa ito bago ang ating klase sa susunod na
linggo).
