Before anything else, let us put

ourselves in the most Holy presence
of our Lord.

The teacher will call a student to lead (The students will pray.)
the prayer.

b. Greetings

Good morning class! Good Morning, Sir!

c. Classroom Management
Alright! Before you take your seats,
kindly arrange your chairs properly
and make your surroundings neat and
clean. (The students will follow.)

d. Checking of Attendance

today?
(The secretary will report.)
e. Checking of Assignment

assignments on your portfolio. Again,
we are using portfolio not just to
compile your work but for you to see
your progress.

A. Elicit

a. Review

Alright! Before we start our class this

morning, can I have someone who
can share his/her takeaways from
yesterday’s lecture?
The student will share his/her takeaways.

Outstanding!
So, I hope you really learned
something yesterday.

B. Engage

Now we will be having a short activity

before we start our discussion.

This activity is called “The blindfold

thief”.

Who among here brought their

blindfolds?
(The students will raise their hands)
Now, you will be divided into three
groups, and you’ll choose 6
representatives that will play our
game.

The rest of the members will be their

guide during the activity.

The players will have 60 seconds to

transfer the ping pong ball from this
box to bottle to another bottle by using
only a string. The players will be
blindfolded as well.

Process questions will be answered

later.
Let’s have Group 1. (The Group 1 will play the game)

Thank you Group 1. Next Group 2. (The Group 2 will play the game)

Thank you Group 2. And last but not

the least, Group 3. (The Group 3 will play the game)

Now let us answer our processing

questions.

First, what did you experience from

the activity? (students’ answers may vary)

Thank you for your responses!

Did you find it hard to transfer the

ball? Why? Why not? (students’ answers may vary)

Good Idea! Very nice!

If you are not blindfolded, do you think

it would be easier? Why? Why not? (students’ answers may vary)

Very good insight!

C. Elaborate

I guess you have already the idea on

what we are going to talk about this
morning.

Once again, with your group create a

circle and I’ll be giving you a sheet of
paper containing a concept for our
topic. I will be giving you 3 minutes to
brainstorm that term with your
groupmates making sure that
everyone understands the concept.

The three minutes starts now! (the students’ will discuss the topic with their
groups)

Time’s Up! Alright, this time I would

like you to choose a representative
per group. And here is the thing, your
representative will go to another group
to discuss the topic you talked about.
Every representative will be given 3
minutes to discuss the discussion of
their group to another group.

Are you ready? Your timer starts now. (The students will follow)

For the last time the representative

will proceed to the next group. (The students will follow)

Good! Representatives please be

back to your own group. Now, for the
next 3 minutes the group will discuss
to their representative the topics
discussed to them by other
representatives.
(The students will follow)
Are you ready? Your time starts now.

(student’s answer may vary)

D. Explain

Now let us start our discussion. Again,

this will be part of your business plan,
specifically Chapter 1.

Let us have Vision. With your group (student’s answer may vary)
discussion, how can you define Vision?

In formulating Vision Statement, what do How do you see yourself in the future?
you think the question we need to
answer?

Very Good! Vision depicts what would

your company look like in the future. For
example, the Vision Statement of It must be Specific, Measurable, Attainable,
McDonald’s: “Una sa Pamilyang Pinoy” Realistic, Time Bound

Now can you give me tips on how to write

a Vision Statement?

Next let us have Mission, with your group (student’s answer may vary)
discussion define what is a Mission
Statement?
What is your purpose?
In formulating Mission Statement, what do What your business does?
you think the question we need to
answer?

Outstanding! Mission Statement

discusses what your business wants to
achieve, your purpose and what do you
do. (student’s answer may vary)

We have an example here once again

from Jollibee and McDonald’s. What do Vision discusses what to achieve, Mission
you notice from their Mission Statements? discusses what is your purpose.

Now what do you think is the difference

between Vision and Mission?

(student’s answer may vary)

Very Good!
(student’s answer may vary)
Now let’s have Philosophy. How can you
define a Philosophy Statement?

What are your core values? It talks about how to get there.

And lastly, we have a Strategy statement.

With all of our statements, what do you
think is our Strategy statement.

E. Elaborate
Since we are done with the discussion,
we are now going to have a group activity.

With the same group, you are tasked to

create your own VMGO. And later, you
will share it to the class.

Group 1 – Coffee Shop

Group 2 – Cake Shop
Group 3 – Ukay Ukay

You will be given 10 minutes to complete

your activity.

You will grade by these rubrics. (the students will discuss their VMGO)

SMART – 10 points
Originality – 10 points
Relevance – 10 points

F. Evaluation

To conclude our lesson this morning,

please get ½ crosswise and develop your
own VMGO Statement for the business of
your choice.
