ESSAY: MEDIA & RELIGION

1. In McLuhan’s perspective, medium is somewhat more important than the content as he said
that “The Medium is the Message”. What do you think are the factors?

- Marshall McLuhan once said that how people would perceive a message depends on its
format (for example, written, visual, musical, etc.). McLuhan argued that the widespread
social, artistic, and philosophical effects of contemporary electronic communications,
such as radio, television, movies, and computers, will truly change how we perceive the
world. According to McLuhan, the type of media being used to communicate a message
was more significant than the content of the message itself. The media applies a filter to a
message that greatly affects how it is understood.

2. What are the Step that you will take to use social media responsibly?

 Turn Off Notifications

 Watch Your Time
 Follow With A Purpose
 Beware Of Clickbait
 Monitor Your Emotions
 Understand Privacy Settings

- It might be helpful for your life to be conscious of your usage, participation, and time on
social media.

3. What are the contribution of Religion to Globalization?

- The role of religion is a significant issue that frequently comes up in studies of

globalization. Religion undoubtedly contributed to the development of towns and regions,
but it shouldn't be credited with being the sole factor that brought people of different
faiths together. Instead, we should not see religious practices and beliefs as having a
clear-cut positive or negative impact on different stages of globalization. When
examining the forces behind globalization and unity between two diverse groups of
people, many external elements such as trade and power should also be taken into
account.
