Disaster risk reduction and management is important for the Philippines given its location in the Pacific Ring of Fire and typhoon belt. The Philippines experiences many natural disasters like earthquakes and typhoons due to active fault lines and climate change exacerbating extreme weather. These disasters negatively impact many people as climate change is projected to increase temperatures and heavy rains damage inadequate housing. Proper disaster management and environmental protection are needed to help mitigate risks and help vulnerable communities.

It is true that the world is changing as a consequence of our irresponsible
behavior. We are causing great disasters in our living world that made us forced to also search to other worlds if it also capable of providing us life. Our country is known to be one of the affected areas surrounded by the Pacific Ring of Fire, which is unfortunate for us. Nearly all of our islands have its own fault line and is active until now. Other countries (such as America), have hurricanes and cyclones while we experience typhoons. It is just one of the disasters we are prone to as we are part of the Pacific typhoon belt. As mentioned above, we are dealing with our own recklessness because we are not taking good care of our environment. We loiter everywhere, experiment anything we thought would work, and a lot more. It was said that possible next year, temperature will increase by 1° to 2° C. With this issue, we should now be more and more alarming for our own sake, knowing that it will be hard and probably impossible for us to reclaim a clean environment in the next years. Some of it mentioned are the melting of global glaciers. Every time it rains heavily, we should not be thankful of it as not all of us are privileged enough to have the accommodation that still satisfies our basic needs.
